As I am here to write this I thought that I should. I have walked the Pattern and am alive to record the event. That I have slept for nearly 2 days I am astonished at, not that walking the Pattern was anything but exhausting, and I feared I would not make it as I neared the end of the path that is the Pattern. Of those that Cordelia summoned here I was the last to walk it. The AI system informs me that all of us survived, I am the last to wake, and that Renn is no longer in residence. Until I speak to the others I do not know what this means, and it refuses to give out any further information.
What benefit walking the Pattern bestows I have no idea. To me it
proves nothing as I already knew I was a descendant of the family,
knowing full well who my father was. I shall now have to see if
Cordelia is more informative as to her purpose in bringing us all here.

My initial elation, as recorded this morning, has now completely evaporated. The Pattern is of no use unless we can manifest it's image with our minds, a taskk which Cordelia likens to assembling a house of cards in a gale, a statement which for once is truthful and correct. I has taken me most of the day, and I have managed it just once. It is a task which is both frustrating and as exhausting as actually walking the Pattern in the first place. Cordelia also says that until we can do this in under half an hour we cannot progress to the next phase. I cannot see how this is possible.
I should also record that we were introduced to the Queen today at
dinner. Whilst Cordelia did mention that she had an apartment on the
3rd floor we have not met her until now. I had assumed she would be
like the Emporer, but she is nothing like that, and far more reassuring
and apppeasing than Cordelia, yet she has said nothing of any
significance, nor did she relate where she has been since our arrival.
One other thing of note is that she is blind, yet this does not appear
to hamper her abilities, nor does she use it as a means to manipulate
reactions in others.
