18: Welcome to your new home!

Introduction
So I’m going to start at the end as it were, with Matt’s comments
about whether I needed to take a break or not. I’ve said in a previous
log that in many ways running this is like running a series of AD&D
modules, although there is far more scope for you as players to alter
things (within certain bounds).
This means a lot of what I need to prep are all the things that would nominally be supplied were this a series of modules, such as any building plans. Foundry complicates this to a degree, because I also need to create ‘Actors’ and ‘Tokens’ which mostly means video screen grabs, then ‘free hand’ tracing ‘figures’ to create images. Sometimes it all behaves correctly and sometimes it doesn’t (pasting as a new image into gimp should always give me a transparent background.. sometimes it doesn’t when I load them into Foundry, and I’ve no idea why.).
As we start what is the second series, we move into the realms of far more complications, and far more possibilities for a sudden end to the campaign. A lot will at the end of the day will depend on you as players, and you're willingness to potentially allow me to dictate certain courses of actions, and potentially also play a different character for a while. In many ways this is why I introduced Seven, because I knew that certain events would need to occur at the start of Season 2 which would result in the demise of One. The fact that One died in a previous session now becomes a problem that I'm needing to work around, as it potentially removes a future plot line. I have an idea for at least introducing some of those elements but I've no idea how its going to pan out.
I will say one more thing. I generally try and avoid killing characters, generally because its inconvenient to do so, and because it disrupts player cohesion, but that does not mean I won't. The threats in your current situation are very real (some of these may become more visible next week.. it depends on how far we get). Believing that you're immortal because you're a PC will end up being your downfall. Sometimes you have to compromise, and then trust me.
Note: I'm deliberately leaving certain sets of events out of the log
because only those directly affected/involved know about them.
Welcome to you new home!
As Three, Four, Seven, and Two come too they find themselves lying on the floor of a room of similar construction to the corridors of the Razza. Around them four others, two male and two femal are also in the process of coming round. Unlike in previous occassions Two is much slower to recover. As consciousness returns a voice barks orders "Get up, Everyone on your feet. nap time is over." As Two struggles to her feet Four correctly recognises the symptoms of a massive sedative overdose.
With everyone on their feet new orders are issued "Okay strip. Get them clothes off". People begin shedding clothes. One of the female says "I hate this fucking part." When all are down to their underwear streams of hot gas are injecte into the room from the corners, floor, and ceiling, the blast lasting about 20 seconds. As they recover the lights are switched to high noon on a scorched sun bowl intensity, for about 3 seconds before returning to normal low level illumination. The door 'behind' them opens and two guards in GA uniforms enter each bearing 4 sets of clothes which they hand out. As the door closes the doors on the other side of the room opens allowing them to enter their new home.

Additional guards now arrive to escort the new prisoners to their assigned cells. Two, Three, and Four are in cells in Block A (A-2-R-??, A-2-L-??, A-1-R-??) and Seven is in Block B (B-2-L-11). Once in their cells they are 'locked in', the cells have forcefields to secure the prisoners in much the same way as the Isolation Cell in the Med Bay on the Razza does.
Time passes. Eventually a 'Recreation Break' is announced and the cells are unlocked. As Three goes to leave his cell the way is blocked by 3 prisoners, the leader of which has a knife (yes it was a knife not a shiv). They know Boone and they want the money he owes them from the bank job on Bellis-9. He tries to bluff his way out but they say they'll start with his ration card for now. Just as things are about to get ugly a female prisoner intervenes. The leader of the 3 tells Nyx that it none of her business, but Nyx responds that she's making it her business. The 3 back down and leave the cell. Three sort of thanks Nyx, but Nyx says that she'll just take his ration card in payment. Three seems disinclined to acquiesce.
Two meanwhile, has seen the trouble brewing and made her way around to Three's cell. After a little prompting Two attacks Nyx, and a fight ensues. Nyx seems more than capable of both blocking Two and delivering blows of her own, although she's no where near as strong as Two. During the course of the fight Two throws Nyx who collides with Three who intern collides with the cell wall and looses consciousness. The fight is ended by one of the guards who first stuns Two and then Nyx. Two awakes several minutes later to find herself in "Solitary".
Elsewhere Four has managed to get himself a plate of something that apparently is called "Food", some sort of stodge that possibly passes for rice, some other sort of goo that passes for some form of protein and vegetable sauce, and something that is supposed to be a 'bun'. He finds an empty table and sits down. The plate of stodge isn't at all apetising but he reluctantly starts to eat. Several minute go by before his table is approached by 3 prisoners. Apparently the "Man' wants to see him. He's disinclined to go anywhere and continues to attempt to eat. The leader of the 3 repeats that the "Man wants to see him" and flicks the bun off the plate across the table. Four gets up from the table and moves into space, then becons the leader of the 3. The leader says "not here" but Four just hits him anyway. The 3 are joined by several others, who all try and attack Four, whilst several other smaller fights break out in addition. After perhaps a minute, a skull shattering piercing sonic alarm sounds rending all those still in the block unconscious. Four wakes sometime later in his cell.
Elsewhere Three comes around from the impact with his cell wall. He's on a bed in the infirmary. In the bed next door is an older guy with his arm bandaged. An attractive nurse is finishing restocking a medical trolley. A youngish guy, probably in his late 20's early 30s enters in what appears to be a prisoner issued jump suit in and orangey-red instead of the kharki all the other prisoners are issued. He talks to the nurse who leaves. He then turns to check on Three. Three is aparently on concussion watch so gets to spends the night in the infirmary. The prisoner, who's name is Devon, confirms he was once a doctor but is very non-commital as to why he's in prison. After Devon leaves the old guy in the bed next door confirms that as a former doctor Devon serves his work detail in the prison infirmary. He also indicates that his injuries are self-inflicted, the food, accomodation, and views are much better in the infirmary. He also indicates that it needs to be the right sort of injury..
