A full house again this week. Much of the week was spent waiting for Allagahn to arrive with the army so it was a quiet(ish) week.
Cordelia and Alfred finish their brief conversation. Alfred heads in the direction of the Tower and Cordelia heads back to the Great Hall.
As he gets about quarter of the way up the Tower he meets Charity coming down. Aparently she's heading for the Abyss. Alfred reachs the top of the Tower and tries to attract Deirdre's attention without success. He finally resorts to finding Cordelia in the Great Hall who trumps Deirdre on his behalf. Deirdre then sends a tentacle to collect him.
AHis primary reason for visiting Deirdre is to obtain some clothes, but she's all out of Gnome sized ones. It'll take her several hours to retrieve some for him. He's also after some asprin as Charity said it would help his aches and pains. Deirdre suggests he looks in the condo.
Allagahn is concerned about the speed of travel. Since the APC's can move faster than the Cavelry he decides to progress these ahead of the Caverly, running backwards and forwards between the two groups. Whilst tiring for Allagahn it cuts about 22 hours Amber time off the travelling time.
Alfred wakes after his rest and goes to see what clothes Deirdre has procured for him. They're not what he's used to and he objects to the bright red jacket. Dressed he asks her to deposit him outside the Tower once more.
After scouting around the deserted inner bailey he finds Cordelia and Sorcha in the Great Hall. They're not doing much. He decides to go and investigate the 'fortified town'.
Late in the afternoon Charity returns from the Abyss accompanied by 'Fred' and his cohort of troops. The demons go in search of some barracks whilst Charity goes to find Cordelia.
She finds Sorcha in the Great Hall. They have a brief conversation during which the penny eventually drops that Sorcha is pregnant. Apparently Cordelia is in her apartment on the second floor. Finding Cordelia, she exchanges news, and then goes shadow walking in saerch of materials for drawing Trumps.
By the time Alfred gets back to the inner bailey it's after dark. Lights are on in the Great Hall and one of the barrack blocks. He enters the barrack block via the mess hall and finds four demons sitting around a table. He backs out rapidly. He uses magic to locate Cordelia in the Great Hall and then tries to use a Telepathy spell to talk to her but she blocks it. Eventually after running here and there he decides to try and sneak into the Great Hall. He's not successful, and Cordelia and Fred turn to watch him trying to sneak into the Hall.
He approaches the table around which Sorcha, Cordelia, and Fred are sitting but they've eaten all the food. He's a little disappointed there's nothing left. As he looks a little put out Cordelia asks if he's hungry, and then obliges by conjuring bread,cheese, chicken, and a Bottle of wine. It joins the two empty ones already on the table.
Shortly after nine Sorcha decides to retire. Alfred does likewise - although he actually goes off to try turning his blankets into a more suitable set of clothing. There's another two empty bottles of wine on the table.
He eats what's left on the table then goes in search of somewhere to sleep. None of the apartments appear to be furnished. Picking a door at random he gets a response from Cordelia. He asks her where he can get a bed. She replies 'Ikea' and then collapses in a fit of laughter. Exasperated he returns to the Hall to sleep in one of the chairs.
The first light of dawn breaks the horizon as Charity leads the Caverly into Elysium. As they progress towards the rim road to take them into the ravine she senses the approach of something else and trumps Deirdre. She confirms there's another army closing rapidly. Charity asks her to rouse the others.
