Chapter 2 - The Adventure Begins

Sunday 15th June (well in my shadow)

When I woke up Allanon, Cordelia, Kohaku and the queen were up. The queen is blind and has hurt her leg. Isocrates was asleep still. 

Cordelia had a shower. Which she then left completely naked and dried herself off by her bed. (Nice body) As she was drying off and dressing she told us she was waiting for Random the King of Amber. 

While she is dressing she freezes. I go and see if she is okay. When I shake her I freeze too. I hear someone in my head say " That was silly", who then reads my mind and tells me to sit down; which I do? When Cordelia comes round she tells me the same thing and that she was surprised Fiona did not kill me. Well This Fiona does not sound fun. Cordelia says Fiona is on Fiona's side. I guess I better watch out with her. But she better not try and read my mine again. I mean all I did was go to see if Cordelia was okay. I guess she read that from my mind so didn't kill me. 

Cordelia says this is an underground room and that her house above has been pretty much destroyed. She goes and finds some clothes for Isocrates as his skirt is not very warm. I guess its winter here or something. 

While Cordelia is away the others sort out breakfast. I can only eat blood in this form so I don't eat as I'm not sure how my new squad would take it at the moment. 

I take a Pistol and a more modern version of my rifle from Cordelia's gun collection (their owners don't need them any more.) I will leave my old rifle here as there is no point taking 2. 

Cordelia informs us over the morning that we need to take some mortars to Fiona (Fun) and that it will involve shadow walking which she will do but not as fast as normal (hell riding) as she has to take us and we don't know what to do. 

Stuff I learn for future use.

• Fiona on Fiona's side
• Cordelia on Cordelia's side, and her fathers (Corwin). And Ambers side.
• Allanon is a Mage.
• Kohaku is something else. I guess to do with her animals
• Isocrates is nothing special.
• I am a shape shifter (everyone knows), but then they have not commented too much on my change to vampire form. Although Kohaku did comment she thought my eyes were blue
• Cordelia said she read our auras to find out what we are! I wonder if I can shift that as well as my form, I will have to try.
• The other are Amberites I am from the Courts, not sure what courts yet though something to do with the chaos I guess. She does not know any more as she is of Amber, but her half-brother (Merlin) may who lives in the courts would know more
• Some other Amberites Flora, Martin (Random son), Llewella, Benedict, Caine Julian and some others I was not able to remember, to them all to write down.
• She found out about her half-brother about 18 months ago.

I agreed to carry the Queen as she can't walk very much with bad leg. As everyone gets ready I go and look around. It looks like it was a nice house, big kitchen and even a pool. 

And a big dog. (Seems ok at least it not attacking) Its almost seems intelligent. Later Cordelia says he can talk. But he hasn't yet. Some smart animal. But then Magic and demons are real and stuff so why not.

As we leave we see a pit of dead Demons. Looks like Cordelia can handle herself. 

It will not be bad following her. I will take the second in command roll. I'll soon whip this bunch into shape. 

We head out and eventually get to a horseless carriage called a bus. It runs on liquid gas? 

We headed out. The view seemed to shift as we moved. I could not make out what was happening but it did not seem normal. Cordelia said we traveled 85 miles in about 15 minutes which even in this bus seems very fast. Something about shadows and moving between them. As I'm am not Amberite I can't do this. I make portals? instead. Sounds fun. Cordelia can only do her thing when moving she says she not good enough yet to do it while not moving (interesting) 

We picked up this guy Hou-Jin. He will drive the truck with the mortars. 

From here we go and get some horses and only me the queen and Isocrates can ride which means fun for the others and we only get 4 horses to start with 3 more later so we can have a horse each. 

Kohaku tries to talk to the horses. Am I the only one from a world where animals are dumb? She asks what language they speak? I guess her animals can talk too? She puts one into this container and carries the other one. 

More shadow moving? 

We stop for a break, then move on to a cabin that seems to be waiting for us. Cordelia says she did it with shadow stuff. Well she found a shadow that had what we needed or something. I definitely need to find out more about this shadow stuff. 

We stay the night in the cabin. Allanon says he needs to meditate to get his magic working here, but doesn't not good. What use is a mage that can't cast spells! Next chance I get I am going to sit him down and make sure he meditates long enough hummmm.

Another Day

We get up and head out to a clearing where we release the horses and get the trucks. 

I tell Cordelia to send Isocrates to the second truck as I still can't talk to him. She thinks a few seconds then sends him to second truck. I wonder what the pause was for. 

So we get in the trucks; Me the Queen and Cordelia in the first truck,Hou-Jin, Allanon, Kohaku and Isocrates in the second truck.
