Chapter 10 - The

Another Day

We are stuck on top of the tower. Cordelia is first to just walk off and float down to ground. Neither Sorcha nor I can shift forms. I think about floating down and do. Then Sorcha joins us. But I have to go back up and get the other two. So in the end we are all on the ground. But we find that we need to hold hands when moving in under shadow. We all start to get tired walking so we change into a V formation and then the going is better. Eventually we approach an obelisk and stop and rest. No one can read the glyphs on the obelisk. Which is strange as the pattern should translate any language. I still can’t shape shift not good. I feel so strange stuck like this. We continue to walk and stop to rest once more before we come to an empty town. We approach a building and go inside. I see a person at the end of the room about 100 feet away. But every time we try to get near we get pushed back. After a lot of trial and error, we work out that only Cordelia and I can get to him. He appears dead but after both of use hold his hand he seems to come round and the rest are invited to join us. He gives me some info about my father, That he was expelled from the courts and if they find me they would not be welcoming to me etc. My father was using his powers for evil or something. He tells us we need to get back to the tower soon or we will be stuck here. Also He made the true pattern He has no shadow ghost, he prevents them from being made. Under shadow is like limbo sort of. We head back and then sleep for ages as we are all tired. Next we try to contact Corwin to get his Sword. But we cannot get him. The trump is blocked - Corwin's not dead.
