I made my way out of the room and back to the surface, it was night outside, I made my way back to the village. The first person I saw stopped and stared at me. They seemed to be scared. I carried on walking back to my hotel, getting stares from everyone. Once in my room I checked out the mirror. I was shocked by what I saw. I see why they were scared. I was deadly pale and had piecing green eyes. My finger seemed to be longer and bonier. My canines had grown longer and sharper But I pressed my finger over the points and they didn't seem to prick my fingers, had my skin become tougher, what else had changed other than just my appearance? Was this permanent? If I didn't know better I would say I was a vampire. But vampire aren't real, are they? I would have to investigate.
What did I know about vampires?
Well I didn't feel dead so I guess that is not true, and I was still breathing. Did I need to I tried to stop it but It would appear for the moment I still need to breath.
Drink blood and only blood. Well I was feeling hungry Will have to try out I guess.
Strong. Well let's see. Well, okay, I can pick up bed and stuff with ease so I guess I am stronger. I also feel more agile than before. I was so uncoordinated before now I feel I can do somersaults. Oh I can cool. Okay so at the moment being a vampire is not so bad. A bit of makeup to cover the pale skin. Not sure what to do about the eyes, will have to see what people say.
Well with this new agility I guess I will be faster will check out later.
Can turn into a bat and a wolf, Can't try that here.
Holy water kills or injures. I did see a church in the village will check out tomorrow, or though If sun light harms me that will be a problem.
Okay so some food or blood first!
I leave the hotel and go on the hunt for a likely victim. It summer so there are people about in the night. I find a man on his own. I sneak up to him and grabbing him by the neck sink my fangs into his neck. I start to drink. Umm, this feels good, very good. Oops before I know it I have drained him dry. I feel his life slip away. Oh well looks like I needed it and not the first thing I have killed. I guess the first human but it felt good. After all toughs years being picked on to finally be able to be on top feels good:). Okay, so I can drink blood and it feels good and right to drink it. But can I eat other food? Do I need blood to survive? I guess time will tell. I will see how long I can go before I need to drink again. I will have to see if I can eat normal food too etc?
Okay what to do with this body. Okay they say the castle is haunted etc, but has there been any unexplained deaths round here? I don't know so can't risk it. I will have to find some where to hide the body. If I do need to feed on blood again I will have to be more careful, if I don't drain the body I can make it look like a mugging etc.
Luckily I am near the edge of the
village I
should be able to get away
from here easily. I pick up the body which seems light, I'm liking this
change. I run off into the forest just past the edge of the village.
Interesting I seem to be able to run for miles with no ill effects, not
out of breath or tired in anyway. This will be handy. I run several
miles before I dump the body in the forest. This far away from the
village the body should be eaten long before it is found. Okay so let's
see about the changing into a bat or wolf. I will try bat
first.
I sit and picture becoming a bat and after several minutes I do start
to change shape. This shocks me and my concentration slips. I feel
weaker like I was before? It's hard to tell in the dark but have I
become fully human again? Will have to see when I have better light and
a mirror. Okay at least I can change form. Now back to bat again. This
time it seems to take less time and yes I can become a bat.
Interesting, yes I am a bat, but I'm a big bat. I guess I can change shape but not mass. Again something to look into and hopefully I will be able to become a smaller bat at some point.
I can smell the blood of the nearby animals, interesting I guess I can become a vampire bat. Well what else. I have echo location too, and it seems that I know how to use it and how to fly etc. So not only do I become a bat in shape I become a bat in instinct to. But my thoughts are still that of me not that of a dumb animal. Even better.
Okay, well the sun will be up soon I better get back to the village in case sun light now kills me.
So I fly off back to the village. Cool flying is fun and faster than running through a forest.
I make it back to the edge of the village and land. I turn back into a vampire and head for my hotel room. I still don't feel tired cool.
The sun come up. Okay, so let's see if sun light hurts me. I stick open the shutter a little bit and stick my hand out. Okay, so no ill effects. I open the shutter fully and look out the window. Cool sunlight does not kill me.
But If I can become human again that would make interacting with others easier.
But first how tough am I. I take my razor and try to cut my hand. It does not cut. So, okay, I can't be harmed but blades. Will have to try other weapons later.
Okay, let's see if I can become human again. After a few minutes I find I can. Cool very useful.
Okay, so am I any different as a human. After some experiment I can conclude
So human form is better but vampire is better still.
I spend a few weeks in and around the village. And yes I can become a bat and a wolf. In both forms I seem to have the abilities of that creature. But I have found that in human form I can obtain the abilities of the bat and wolf but there seems to be something stopping me use vampire powers as a human, it's as if my mind just can't grasp how to do it yet. What would be good is if I could do that in vampire form, but as yet I have not been able to use other creatures' powers in vampire form. But I have determined that the vampire can only drink blood. I tried normal food and could not digest it so ended up just being sick to get rid of it, not a problem, that is to say I don't have a problem killing humans.
Okay now to find out why this happened to me? And what has happened to me?
