Our return to the inn this afternoon was something of an anti-climax. We checked in with the local command, acquired horses, and then began a quick tour through the closest shadows, selecting those we though it would be easiest and most advantageous for us to close off with the Jewel. Although my father has recovered physically It will be several weeks before he is fully fit again, time we simply do not have. My brother and I must therefore trust that he is up to the task he has set himself. This does mean that Isla and I have had to set aside our differences for the time being.
