After last night's brief and hasty return to the Velvet Rest my return this morning was a much more sedate, if chaotic affair, news of my return having been circulated amongst the girls. Even Kendra, who appears to have settled in comfortably, was pleased to see me.
All wanted news of my travels, particularly in relation to Sulin and her where abouts. When Palrity finally worked out what was going on she was somewhat embarrassed, especially in light of the fact that we'd now be staying here until Sulin returned with Bleys.
Having settled into our rooms, there having been somewhat of a competition as to who would gain the honour of me having their room, which Molly settled in the end by putting Palrity and I in her room, and moving herself into Sulin's, Kiona's, and Simone's room for the duration. Rooms assigned I took Palrity, still sulking over the treatment of Chikora who is still aboard ship, out to see the city.
It was from this excursion, as we were making our way back from the market, that I first became aware that I appear to be being followed. I say appear as I cannot actually work out who is following me despite my efforts to do so. There are several things I find strange in this, firstly why anyone would either follow me or want me followed, secondly why there appears to be no malevolent intent, and thirdly, whilst drawing a trump of this room this afternoon, why I had the sensation that there were two trump entities close by which were attempting hide their presence from me.
It was approaching 2pm local time when I trumped into the condo. The place was deserted and I heard the tell tale countdown of the alarm. In the best Hollywood traditions I finished keying the cancel code with 2 seconds left on the clock. I had wanted to speak to Hou-Jin before going to see Krystina Hart, so turned my attention to my mailbox instead. As usual it was 2/3 full of junk mail.
