The millions of questions I had to ask my father will have to wait, he doesn't seem too talkative. He seems to prefer whiling away the journey by beating me senseless (a.k.a. "teaching me how to swordfight"). It hasn't been the best thing for my pre-existing injuries, however, I assume it is character building and it is doing wonders for my pain tolerance!
Cordelia was reluctant to head to go to Carnelian and disappeared in the middle of the night. She trumped out and we believe she is off in search of Dierdre. We are continuing to Carnelian and I am using every available moment to practice my pattern skills.
After arriving at Carnelian, we found the situation fairly unchanged. The enemy had been slightly pushed back from their trenches and were still being held. We assume the castle is being regularly re-supplied, so there may not be a lot we can achieve here.
Benedict says he will take over the castles defences and the queen will be staying here for safety. The others don’t see a point to staying here, so they are going to head off in search of Dierdre and Cordelia. I think we are really just running around all other the place, with little or no idea of what we are doing.
I am planning to leave the group when we all walk the pattern and go to a very fast shadow, where I'll be able to train and practice my skills then reunite with the group and hopefully be of more use to them.
