The Rodian Wars - Historical Excerpt
What has become colloqually known as the Rodian Wars erupted both metaphorically and literally on the 5th January 2004.
At the time, the thought spontaneous eruption of the Yellowstone Super volcano was thought to be unconnected with the world wide invasion of what can only be described as alien demonic forces some hour later; although by this point martial law and states of emergency had been declared across the world to deal with the rising tide of devastating volcanic eruptions and earthquakes.
As had often been conjectured, the Yellowstone eruption triggered a
major shift in the America/Pacific plate triggering a series of
convulsions along it's 3000 mile length with the often speculated about
loss of the southwestern portion of the San Franciso Bay area. Whilst
America bore the brunt of the Earths convulsions in those first hours
the remaider of the world was not to escape unscathed.
Within 2 hours the majority of the volcanoes on the Ring-of-Fire were in full flood along with those in the Mediteranian and Iceland. Turkey suffered it's biggest series of earthquakes on record with the entire length of the Anatolian fault moving by more than half a metre.
It wasn't until evening, California time, that the first reports of
some form of demon or alien occurred. As night spread around the globe
reports increased, principly in regions which had suffered servere
earthquakes. By the following day they appeared to be roaming far and
wide giving what was left of military and civil defense forces yet
another headache to deal with. Whilst the majority would sucumb to 7.62
rounds from an assault rifle, there were a significant number were
resistant to anything less that a 50cal, and a very few that nothing
short of a 40mm cannon would damage.
The demon scourge reached its peak around Valentines day, before slowly decreasing such that by the beginning of March they were few and far between.
By mid March a sort of peace had returned to the world and many
people thought that normality had returned, however the war would end
much as it had started, with a bang.
The acknowledged end of the war occurred on 2nd April
2004, with a storm unlike anything seen before of since that commenced
just after 1:30 pm and raged until between 6:30pm and 7:30pm depending
eactly where you were in the world. Thunder and lightening (sheet,
striking, and plasma) raged continually across the skys rolling with
thick black clouds. The Atacama Desert, the driest place on Earth saw
600mm of rain and hail fall during the period. It was a similar
story in the North African deserts with between 750 and 1500mm of rain
and hail. In both the Northern and Southern Temperate zones it fell not
as rain but as snow, with accumulated falls of between 2m and 5m and
drifts upto 4 times as deep.
