This spell causes a hemi-sperical wall of flame to spring up in a radius of 50ft about the Arcanist. The flames appear to radiate no heat, but will inflict 2D6 x10 SDC or 3D6 MDC to all who attempt to pass through. The flames appear to be either reds or blues. Creatures of Fire or Energy or those resistant to Fire or Energy take no damage from red flames but double damage form blue flames. Creatures with cold resistance take no damage from blue flames but double damage from red flames. Animated Dead take tripple damage from either type and Undead take qunituple (x5) damage. |

This spell enables the Arcanist to afflict the target with either a specific phobia , a random phobia, or a new phobia from the Insanity: Phobias table. Everytime the victim of the phobia encounters the source of the phobia he will have a phobic reaction. The only gaurenteed methods of removing the curse are a Remove Curse Spell, waiting until the duration expires, or persuading the casting Arcanist to cancel it. A Negate Magic spell has a base 25% chance of success , modified by the difference in casters levels. |

This spell causes 1D4 animated dead per level of the Arcanist to instantly appear to burst into flames. This consuming fire cannot be extinguished nor can it ignite flamable materials nor does it radiate any heat, but it inflicts 1D6 damage per level of the Arcanist per round to each affected corpse. When the MDC of the Corpse reaches 0 it collapses into a pile of dust. The magic has no effect on Undead.such as Zombies or Vampires, but does affect bodies and structures inhabited by entities. |

This spell may only be cast by experienced Arcanists ( level 4+) and allows the Arcanist to select a wild or domesticated animal as a Familiar. Once the link is established the Arcanist by concentrating experiences what the familiar experiences, hears what the Familiar hears, sees what the Familiar sees, and smells what the familiar smells. The Arcanist can telepathically direct or instruct the Familiar or give it simple verbal instructions, but the Familiar is unable to directly communicate with the Arcanist. Both the Arcanist and the Familiar can sense when each other are in danger, wounded, or sick. Both parites gain 6HP when the link is established, but when the Familiar is wounded or ill the Arcanists suffers the same effects. If the Familiar is killed ( not dies of natural causes) then the Arcanist loses 10HP permanently provided hes survives the system shock. If a Familiar is killed then the Arcanist may not summon another for 21 months, however if the Familiar dies through natural causes then the Arcanist may summon another after 7 months. Then Arcanist can maintain contact with the Familiar over a distance of 500ft/2500ft per level (land animals/birds) . When summoning the Arcanist must specify the animal he is attempting to summon. If there is no animal of the specified breed and type within 1 mile per level then the spell fails, and the Arcanist may no retry for 28 days. |

This spell is almost the opposite of Globe of Silence. The spell prohibits all but background noise from entering the area of the spell effect, whilst allowing any noise made inside the area to pass freely out. |

This spell is an improved version of Heal Wounds and instantly heals minor physical injuries, such as bruises, cuts, gashes, bullet wounds, burns, strained muscles, and sprained joints and major physical injuries , such as internal organ damage and broken bones. It will not help against illness, severed limbs, or poisons/drugs. If the wound contains a foreign object then the object is expelled by the magic. The magic either restores the target to an number of Hit Points equal to half the Arcanists level (from Zero or below) and allows coma recovery as ‘Professional Medical Treatment’, or restores 5D6 SDC and 3D6 HP or 1D6x10MDC. Note : this spell has no effect if the person treated has any SDC remaining or greater than 25% MDC remaining. |

This Spell enables the Arcanist to transform into the form of a common insect or Arachnid. The insect or arachnid form can be no smaller than 1 cm in length and no larger than 15cm in length ( excluding legs and wings) . Once transformed the Arcanist gains the normal abilities of the insect or Arachnid chosen, whilst retaining his own IQ, memory, SDC and Hit Points. Since insects cannot speak magic casting is not possible although use of Psionics is not affected. |

This spell is the perfect counter to modern surveillance devices protecting an area. For as long as the spell is active any surveillance devices covering the area report exactly what they would have seen prior to the spell being cast. If cast on an area swept by a camera the camera image is correct for each point along the traversal path. If cast on an area where people or machines are working then they will apparently stop moving. Anyone entering the area of the spell is invisible to the sensors covering the area, but will be clearly visible to anyone actually watching the area. |

This spell whether cast as a spell or a ritual has a ritualistic component, that of the requirement to scribe a circle and symbols whilst the spell is cast. The circles and symbols must be drawn using some form of powder, and the circle remains effective against Lesser Supernatural Creatures whilst it remains intact. The creatures affected may not approach within 50ft (subject to Ley Line Effects) of the cirle boundary, although they may attack the circle and its occupents with weapons , magic, and/or psionics. Whilst within the circle, which may be upto 10ft Radius per level of the Arcanist , all occupents enjoy a +2/4 to save vs magic and psionic attacks from Lesser Supernatural Creatures. The circle has no effect against Greater Supernatural Creatures ( it simply doesn’t exist as far as they are concearned). The circle costs 45 PPE to initially create but may be re-activated by anyone who can use TW devices provided they have sufficient PPE. It takes 5 PPE to re-activate the circle (provided it remains intact). When cast as a ritual the circle can only be ‘erased’ by magical attacks, Greater Supernatural Creatures, or the Arcanist. |

This spell allows the Arcanist to Summon and Control all forms of canines. The caster can summon 1D4 canines of animal intelligence per level, 1 intelligent canine per level, or 1 mutant or civilized canine per 5 full levels. Animals save at -2, Intelligent canines at +2, and Mutant or Civilized Canines (Wolfen and the like) at +4 +bonuses. This spell may only be cast as a ritual and requires the construction of a Pentacle. The Arcanist controls those summoned whether he is inside or outside the Pentacle. In addition whilst in the Pentacle the Arcanist may control any animal canine within LOS (save allowed) , and attempt to control Intelligent or Mutant Canines to the limit of his abilities. Animal canines not controlled will not harm the Arcanist, whilst others are likely to make him their prime target (save vs Magic or attack as Frenzy). The Pentacle acts as a circle of protection against canines. Canines will be summoned from a radius of 1 mile per level of the Arcanist. |

This time distortion spell affects 2D4 plus 1 person/ object per level of the Arcanist in a 50ft radius upto 500ft away. The magic is such that physical actions are slowed to one third their normal rate- Reduce Attacks, Speed,PP to one third normal, and Initiative to a maximum value of 20. Spell Casting and Psionics are unaffected. Affects people, creatures, robots, robot vehicles, power armour, and vehicles. |

This spell allows the Arcanist to temporarily lose his magic abilities ( to avoid detection) by transferring the bulk of his mystic essence into another living individual. A See-Aura will reveal no mystic abilities and little PPE on both the Arcanist and vessel. The vessel is completely unaware of the essence and cannot use any of the powers or PPE. The Arcanist loses all but 4PPE and 4 Exp, can only cast 1st level spells, and loses all other magical abilities. The Arcanist regains their power by touching the vessel or waiting until the duration expires. |

The ‘Water to Wine’ spell is a bit of a misnomer, since the Arcanist can use it to convert fresh water into another beverage. The volume of water affected depends upon the transformation required and the level of the Arcanist.
