This spell is a very much improved version of Horrific Illusion, and allows the Arcanist to create an Illusion that reacts as if real. The Illusion can either be some hideous demonic or supernatural creature or something absurd like a man eating fridge. The magic is such that anyone comming within 50ft of the Apparition will be attacked. The Apparition will appear to take damage, sweat, bleed etc but cannot be stopped or killed. Anyone viewing the Apparition must save vs HF 10 or be affected as per Horrific Illusion. When the Apparition attcks each target must make a saving throw vs Magic ( " -4 if the HF save is failed). If the save is made the Apparition vanishes but if the save is failed then the target will believe that the damage inflicted is REAL. At the point of death the target collapses into a coma for 60-2D4-ME minutes, after which they make make a save vs coma roll with a base of 30+ME (PE bonus applies). If the save is failed they may try again after the same time period, and may continue the attempt for PE hours. Once the save is made the target must save vs insanity ( base 12 +1 per failed recovery attempt) or gain a random insanity because of the trauma. When the target recovers all damage will be revealed to be fake. The only ways to stop an Apparition are 1) Disbelieve It 2) Plunge Something made from Cold Iron Into It 3) Wait for the Magic to Expire Apparitions have 3 to 6 attacks per melee, +2 to Strike, +3 to Parry, +6 to Dodge, +11 Initiative. |

This spell, which is only usable above ground, causes the target object to be struck by lightening ( no matter what the weather conditions). The target must be visible to the Arcanist , and may be inside a building (in which case the building absorbs some or all of the lightening strike). Each strike does damage equal ( 1D6 + (casters level / 2 (round down))) MDC per level of the caster. The target may dodge the bolt but must roll an unmodified 19 or 20 to do so. If the unmodified dodge roll is a 1 then they take double damage. |

This spell allows the Arcanist to implant an irresistable impulse into the mind of the target. The impulse should be reasonable and obtainable , but can be illogical. Typical impulses can be craving for certain types of candy, the need to visit a place or person, or an affliction to the environment ( the targets always too hot, too cold etc). Once the duration expires or a remove curse is cast upon the target the compulsion passes. |

This spell creates a bolt of energy, which shoots from either the Arcanists fingers or eyes at the intended target. No gesture is needed from the Arcanist and the target must roll 18 or higher to dodge the bolt. The Arcanist can adjust the damage such that the bolt either inflicts 6D10+ casters level SDC or 2D6 + (casters level / 2 (round down)) MDC. One bolt may be cast per H-To-H attack of the Arcanist, Each Bolt costing an additional 2 PPE . |

This spell creates a rapidly expanding ball or magic fire, which races towards and engulfs its target. The only defense is to be able to sense the fireball coming and to dodge, needing an unmodified 17 or higher. The fireball inflicts ( 1D6 + (casters level / 2 (round down))) MDC per level of the caster and will ignite flammables along a conic path 1ft in diameter at the Caster and 10ft in diameter at the target. If the original target dodges then the Fireball continues until it hits something capable of stopping it. |

This spell makes the recipient impervious to all forms of energy attack including Lasers, Light, Fire, Plasma, Particle Beam, and Electricity. Kinetic based attacks projectiles, knives, punches, explosives and radiation attacks inflict full damage. |

This spell creates a mystic facsimile of a bird(usually a pigeon). The magic pigeon is capable of delivering a spoken or written message of 20+4 words/level of the Arcanist to anyone in the same dimension as the caster. The Arcanist must know the approximate loaction of the recipient ( or recipients) , and upon arrival at the location the pigeon will search out the recipeint(s). If the reciepient cannot be found in the locale then the bird will wait until the recieient arrives or the duration elapses. The pigeon can pass the message to a number of recipients equal to 1+1 per four levels of the caster. The bird has a chameleon ability such that it blends into the shape of the most numerous local bird species. It needs no food or rest and can fly 720 miles every 24hours at a speed of 30 mph. The pigeon is immune to the effects of every thing bar magic entrapment spells, which will caputre and hold it , and dispel magic, which destroys it. |

This magic creates an illusionary mask which hides the Arcanists real features. Apparent age, gender, skin and hair colour, hair length, and specific features can be altered at a thought. The Arcanist can attempt to impersonate a specific individual at the higher of Disguise skill or 20%+5% per level. Persons encountering the Arcanist get a save vs Magic at -4. If successful the Arcanists true features are seen and not the mask. The magic is limited to alterations to the head only. |

This magic enable the Arcanist to implant a block of data upto 1024 bytes ( 1 letter = 1 byte) into a persons memory without them knowing the information is there or being able to access it. The amount of information that can be stored in an individual is (40-IQ)^2*1024 bytes, half this for minor or major Psionics, one_quater for Master psionics. The Arcanist can retrieve the infomation by touch at any time, although a mind block will prevent the implantation and removal of data. The data vanishes if not retrieved before the duration of the magic expires. |

This spell enables the Arcanist to shrink in size to between 50% and 95% his normal size. Anything carried by the Arcanist is shrunk accordingly. Normal weapons shrunk in this manner do 1 SDC for each 10 SDC they would normally inflict and MDC weapons damage in a similar ratio. Protective items retain their full protective value, and the Arcanist is -1 per 10% above 40% shrinkage to be hit( -1 at 50%, -2 at 60%, etc). The shrinkage reduces the Arcanists mass by 8% per 5% above 45% and physical attributes by 5% per 5% above 45% shrinkage. |

This spell has two uses, it can either teleport the Arcanist to a known location within range or it can teleport an object (non-living) or bundle of objects (non-living) up-to 20Kg+2Kg per level to a known location within Range. When teleporting himself the range is limited to 1000ft per level , whilst for objects the range is 7 miles per level. The success of a teleport is 50% +3% per level for himself and 80%+2% per level for objects. If unsuccessful the teleport still happens but the Arcanist or Objects arrive at a random location within Range. The magic is such that objects cannot materialise inside solid objects, unless there is sufficient volume to accommodate the whole object or Arcanist. |

This magic propells the Arcanist 5 seconds into the future. The magic is such that the Arcanists cannot inflict damage to any object or person, but can move about the physical environment, open doors, activate mechanisms, grab items , plant explosives, etc. To all observers the Arcanist will disappear re-apperaing 5 seconds later with all remaining actions intact ( the Arcanist can spend half his normal or remaining actions whilst in the time slip without losing them and can carry over into the following round/phase). (-5 bonus to initiative in addition to other bonuses). What ever actions are taken by the Arcanist are unseen by those around him. |

This Spell causes the target to answer any question asked by the Arcanist truthfully. The Arcanist can ask a simple question for each H-to-H attack they possess. Each time a question is asked the target must save vs magic or answer with the truth. If the save is made they have the choice of not answering or lying. Questions may be repeated. |
