When the Cats first appeared on Earth no-one knows, but in recent years their numbers has grown such that they are becoming a reasonably common sight. Their distinctive silver-blue fur makes them easy to distinguish, but no less attractive. How their dependance upon humanoid life forms began is another mystery but the cats are only happy when bonded. When the kittens are weaned at about 7 weeks they will attempt to find a human to bond to. This is not as easy as it might seem as they will only bond with psychic individuals. To accept a bond a psychic must save vs psionics. The benefit of the bond is an increase in awareness (as the cat will alert its partner to the presence of danger) and an increase in ISP of 1D10+ half the cats ME. However if the cat is killed the human partner save vs psionics (no bonuses) or lapse into a coma, where they will remain until the psionic save and a save vs coma are made. If the initial save is made the human partner loses 1D6 ISP permanently, or 2D6 if the save is failed. If the human partner is killed the cat must similarly save. If it makes its save it loses 1D6 ME and 1D4 HP and it fails its save it will DIE.

Any psionic may bond up to MA/5 (round down) Keron Cats. Reduce appropriately for Bionics/Cybernetics (as per effect on ISP).
